Roller skating’s cool, right?  We think so.  And so do manufacturers, suppliers and committed supporters of the industry.  Together, they supported an effort to shake up roller skating by pushing a revolution, a roller revolution.  The disruptive campaign focused on teens and their perception of roller skating rinks from old and stodgy, to relevant and a little edgy.  The “Make a Skatement” campaign changed attitudes and provided a toolkit for individual operators to carry the message to their marketplace. In all, the effort influenced social media, digital marketing, experiential efforts, promotions, advertising and WOM. Anything less would not be revolutionary.
